Mid-West Family Springfield Radio Stations
At Mid-West Family, we have specifically formatted our stations to reach different audience groups to help you best target your desired customers. Individually, you can expect to reach over 50,000 people per week with any of our stations, but together you can reach over 200,000! Additionally, Mid-West Family reaches over 75,000 people each month with our Around the Ozarks podcast network, bringing you an incredible audience footprint in our area.
The key to making this work is that each of our brands reaches audiences that complement each other, with little audience overlap. Each of our brands will not only feature music from different eras, but also content that appeals to different life groups and genders. This helps your advertising dollars work much more efficiently for the absolute best results.
To help best understand our audiences, Mid-West Family uses listener surveys, Nielsen Market Research, and other third-party research sources. For each brand, we create an “avatar” representing the core of each audience. Of course, there are always outliers. Some women prefer hard rock over pop, some teens love classic rock, and some grandpas love Sports! Still, the core of each audience is usually incredibly similar, helping us best craft your customized advertising plan to reach the exact audience you desire.
Here is a snapshot of who you’ll reach with each brand.
104.7 The Cave
104.7 The Cave features pure classic rock from the 70s and 80s, and is the radio home of the Kansas City Chiefs. Classic rock giants such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and the Eagles are the core of the Cave’s playlist. The core Cave listener is over 40 years old, and the audience is approximately 60% men and 40% women. This audience is united in their love of the music and the Cave is one of the few stations in the country that still regularly plays vinyl records.
Q92.9 Springfield's Rock Station
Q92.9 Springfield’s Rock Station focuses on playing the biggest rock hits of the 1990s to today, making it a perfect musical companion to 104.7 The Cave. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, and Metallica are just some of the great bands you’ll hear on Q92.9. The Q92.9 listener is usually under 50-years-old, and is approximately 60% male and 40% female. This audience has been described as being in the prime “acquiring phase” of life and love to spend money on the things that they want. And provide for their families, of course.
92.9 The Beat
92.9 The Beat plays all of today’s pop hits, plus features a heavy dose of “throwback” music from the past 25 years. Taylor Swift, Post Malone, the Weekend, and Beyonce are just some of the huge superstars you’ll hear every day on The Beat. Plus, every morning listeners wake up to the antics of Brooke and Jeffrey who’s fun brand of humor will keep you smiling on the way to work or school. The Beat’s listening audience is over 70% female and predominantly under 40-years-old. We know that they are thousands of moms listening each day with kids in the car, so the music and humor will never make you want to change the station.
105.1 The Bull
105.1 The Bull is the Ozarks’ home for the hits that defined a generation. We believe the best country music lives in that sweet spot from the 1990s through the 2000s, where legends like George Strait and Tim McGraw meet icons like Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan.
Our listeners aren’t just an audience; they are our neighbors. That’s why we’ve built Around the Ozarks Mornings, hosted by Grace Gooley, to be your daily local resource. Join Ethan and Sara Forhetz for the ATO News update, insightful interviews with local nonprofits, and deep dives into the podcasts that matter to our community. Plus, we keep our local farmers and ranchers informed with the latest agricultural updates from Brownfield Ag News. If it’s happening in the Ozarks, you’ll hear it on The Ozarks’ Best Country, 105.1 The Bull.
